From conductor performance to useful systems
Coated conductors connect materials science with demanding engineering problems. A laboratory result becomes useful when it can be reproduced in long lengths, measured under relevant conditions and incorporated into a reliable cable, coil or device. CCA 2027 provides a setting for discussing these connections across research and industry.
The scientific focus spans REBCO materials and manufacturing, characterization, electromagnetic and mechanical behavior, and applications in magnets and electrical power systems. Participants can compare experimental observations with modeling, discuss performance requirements and identify questions that benefit from collaboration between conductor producers and end users.
